Artist’s Statement
“One should not only photograph things for what they are but for what else they are.” – Minor White
My work explores the way that light, reflection, and perception can transform simple subjects. I take meditative walks through the wild spaces, both near and far from home. From this stillness, I allow intuition to guide my eye to the objects that beckon, and open my mind and heart to the wonder and connection of the world. It becomes magic. Living and working in the city, maintaining this relationship becomes a more deliberate and necessary practice. I want to share the beauty of these moments and inspire others to cultivate joy and appreciation of nature and the environment.
